Competition Karate Course – July 23rd
\n<\/strong><\/span>With Anthony Bridge 3rd Dan, National and International Championship Winner<\/p>\n

This is the 2nd in a series of courses run specifically for students interested in Competition Kumite (Fighting)and will cover all aspects of sport karate techniques including individual and combination techniques, timing, distancing and much more. Students of all ages and abilities from within the Association are invited to attend, from complete novice to the more experienced fighter.
\nWith the Welsh Junior Championships taking place the following day, this is an ideal opportunity for squad members to complete their preparation training.<\/p>\n

Course starts at 10 am and will run for 2hrs\u2026.Course fee: \u00a35
\nStudents should bring along their Pads, Mitts, Gumshields etc..As well as an up-to-date WBK License Book.<\/p>\n

Kyu Grading July 10th – Report
\n<\/strong><\/span>On Sunday July the 10th,the Association Gradings (Red to Purple Belt) were held at the Cwrt Herbert Sport Centre in Neath. The WBK Grading Examiners would like to congratulate all those who attended the course and grading on displaying such a high standard of karate throughout the day. We are pleased to report that a 100% pass rate was achieved. Many thanks to the Dan Grades who assisted the grade examiners during the course.<\/p>\n

Passes by grade were as follows:
\nRed – 24
\nYellow – 7
\nOrange – 20
\nGreen – 10
\nBlue – 3
\nPurple – 4
\nCourse only 28.<\/p>\n

The Next Association Kyu Grading takes place on Sunday 6th November at Cwrt Herbert Sports Centre, 12.30 – 3.00pm<\/p>\n

Cwrt Herbert Karate Club Venue Change
\n<\/strong><\/span>Due to increased Club Membership, the Cwrt Herbert Karate Club will be moving to a new (and bigger) Venue from Monday July 18th<\/strong>.
\nTraining sessions will now take place at Ysgol Hendre Sports Hall, just a short distance away from the old venue.<\/p>\n
