Brown Belt Grading

BROWN BELT GRADING REPORT

Congratulations to all of our students who passed their grade examination on Saturday. The grading was held at the Baglan Community Centre, the “temporary” new home of the Afan Lido Karate Club.

Senior Welsh Bushi-Kai Instructors who conducted the course & gradings were Percy Brown – 6th Dan, Owen Cranfield – 5th Dan, Paul Bridge – 5th Dan and Mark and Natacha Coleman – 3rd Dans.

A total of 24 students attended the course and went on to attempt their grade examinations. Regrettably, 2 of our students did not perform to the best of their ability and were unsuccessful in gaining their grade – this time. No doubt that with a little more time and effort they will  make the necessary step up to attain their grade at the next opportunity.

The WBK would like to thank the Dan grades who assisted the examiners throughout the day.

The next WBK Brown Belt grading will take place in May 2011 – Full details of next years WBK events will be added to this website as soon as we recieve confirmation from the various venue management.
