W.U.K.F World Championships – Cluj-Napoca, Romania
The W.U.K.F World Championships took place recently and the WBK were represented by Sam Waters and Ruby Davies, who were both selected as part of the Karate Wales National squad for this prestigious event. Also present was Jordan Hopkins, as a Karate Wales accredited coach.
Sam Waters – this level of competition is a big step up from the norm and Sam fought with great passion and ability but was unfortunate to lose out in the early rounds in a “First to Score” situation. as disappointed as he was to lose, Sam can be very proud of his performance.
Ruby Davies – Ruby excelled from her first round match and her experience shone through. Intelligent tactics, movement & speed of technique took Ruby to the Semi Final where she narrowly missed out on making the final. Ruby can be extremely proud of her effort in Winning a W.U.K.F World Bronze Kumite Medal
