Hello everyone!
The WBK hope that everyone had a great festive break.
We are hopeful that 2022 will be a return to some sort of normality for the association where Gradings, Courses , competitions etc can be conducted in the usual fashion, although we are all aware that Covid is still with us and that restrictions seem to be changing on a weekly basis.
Covid:
An up to date Covid Policy / Notice will be added when available. Please check with your Club Instructors and Club Social Media platforms for current venue rules.
KATA COURSE: Sunday 6th February:
Hello all
I will be running a Kata course on Sun 6th Feb at Neath Bushi-Kai (Ysgol Hendre, Bryncoch, SA10 7TY).
The course will be split into two parts:
The course will be split into two parts:
1000 – 1200 Pinan Kata (open to all)
1200 – 1400 Advanced Kata (focussing on Dan grading syllabus Bassai, Seishan, Rohai and Bunkai).
The course is open to all, not just the Dan grade candidates, but I will have to ask people to book, or for club instructors to supply numbers so that I can safely plan the sessions. I’m aware that the Dan grading candidates will mostly attend the second session, but I would like to encourage everyone to also attend the Pinan course. It’s been a while since we have run a Kata course and I know we all have slight variations in our Pinan’s, so it would be great to get together to iron some of these out. Numbers will be limited so book early to avoid disappointment.
The cost of the course is £10, for either the Pinan’s, Advanced session or both.
Licences and Dan grade cards will be signed upon completion of the course, either by myself or Jordan.
Contactless card payments can be made on the day, or alternatively you can you can send payments directly via BACS (message me for details).
Include name and which session please.
Please forward this email to anyone I have left off the mailing list.
See you on the mat.
