WKL 5 Report

WKL5 Results:
A massive well done to the WBK squad at last weekends Welsh Karate league Event.
Some fantastic performances and some valuable learning points taken on board. Keep up the effort and training.

A massive well done to our MCBK fighters today!
Some excellent performances today, with plenty of grit and determination in very warm venue and some busy categories. Plenty of learning opportunities as well, look forward to pushing you further in training.

Brown Belt Grading

Brown Belt Course & Grading, May 3rd. Cwmafan Dojo

Brown Belt Success.
Congratulations to all students who successfully passed their Brown Belt Grades this past weekend. Also, well done to the students who attended the course! A fantastic effort throughout.
An excellent standard of karate of display by some students this morning, with some areas to work on. Keep up the hard work and take on board all the feedback given.
A massive thank you and well done to our Dan Grades throughout the morning, helping to conduct the course and grading. It was fantastic to see such a broad and full panel. Thank you again to those helping partner with blocks.
A final thank you to all the families and friends supporting the students this morning. We hope you enjoyed and appreciated the karate on display and the level up from a general Kyu grading.

B.U.C.S / Varsity News

Swansea University Karate Club have been on the road again. Three competitors went to the British Universities and Colleges Sports (BUCS) championships in February and five competed against Cardiff University in Varsity today. Well done to everyone!

W.U.K.F British Open

Well Done to the WBK Squad who competed at the WUKF British Open Championship in Crawley this weekend.

No medals/podium positions this time around, but some Top 8 and Top 16 positions. It was a fantastic learning experience for you all to compete at the elite level!
With over 2,500 entries and most of you getting through a few rounds in categories of 40 to 60,is a great achievement at this standard of competition!

We continue to learn, work hard and keep focused on the next challenge.
Speedy recovery to Cassie, getting injured in her bouts today.
Plenty of opportunities arranged this weekend, with more doors opening.
Well Done again.

Mark Coleman Promotion

Senior Dan Grade Promotion
To conclude the Dan Grading, the WBK Executive was delighted to award Mark Coleman his well deserved and long overdue 5th Dan! Our Chief Instructor, Percy Brown 7th Dan, was at hand to present Mark with his Godan (5th Dan Grade) Certificate
Thank you Mark for your continued hard work, dedication and loyalty to your Neath Bushi-Kai Dojo and the Welsh Bushi-Kai Karate Association.

Dan Grading – Nov 24th

Many Congratulations to the four successful candidates who passed their Dan Gradings on Sunday morning. Your hard work and determination has paid off. From the beginning of the process to what the panel witnessed during the grading, was night and day – the progression has been superb! You have all listened to the advice given by your instructors and taken on board so much over the past months, saving your best karate for the day. Well Done!
